We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, which last year invested $20.1 million in writing and publishing throughout Canada.

	The Ontario Arts Council is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

To qualify for membership, you must have had a trade book published by a commercial or university press or the equivalent in another medium. Writers who have a first book contract in hand with a trade or university press may apply for membership prior to the publication of their book. Membership renewal will be dependent on the publication (or pending publication) of the book.

You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada or identify yourself as an Aboriginal or Indigenous person born or resident within Canada.
