I was invited to join when I attended my first AGM as a then unpublished author waiting for my book to be released the following fall. As a newbie, I was surprised and thrilled to be welcomed to such an esteemed group of Canadian authors. At my small book launch in Toronto, the Executive Director was there to cheer me on even though I had only given her a day’s notice. That’s when I knew that I was part of something unique. Immediately available to me was contract help, a clearer understanding of Google Book choices, PLR, Access Copyright and a source to call on whenever I needed it. And a batch of new friends from all over the country.
