Biography

Myna Wallin is a Toronto-based author and editor with her Masters degree in English Literature from U of T. She is the author of three chapbooks: Vulnerable Positions (2002), The Old Abandonment (2003), and Warning Signs (2005), all with believe your own press. Her first full-length poetry collection, A Thousand Profane Pieces, was published by Tightrope Books in Spring 2006. Her second book, a novel, Confessions of a Reluctant Cougar, was published by Tightrope Books in 2010. Her second collection of poetry, Anatomy of an Injury, is coming out with Inanna Publications, spring 2018.
Myna's poetry and prose have been published in numerous literary journals and anthologies, including The  Contemporary Verse 2, Existere, The Literary Review of Canada, Matrix, Nod, Taddle Creek, Matrix Magazine and Descant. Her poetry has received Honourable Mentions in the CV2 2-Day Poem Contest, and Descant's Winston Collins Best Canadian Poem Contest. Her poem hung in the AGO's "Why (Not) Paintings of Poets" in 2014, along with two paintings of Wallin. Recently, her prose was published with Exile Editions in their anthology, That Dammed Beaver: Canadian Humour, Laughs and Gaffs (ed. Bruce Meyer, 2017).
