BIO
Biography

Sylvia Barrett was born in Whitehorse, Yukon. A Ryerson journalism graduate, she spent a decade working as a daily newspaper reporter before moving to magazines. Sylvia has been senior editor at The Walrus and Canadian Geographic, founding editor of Ottawa Magazine, originally called Ottawa City, and science editor and later managing editor of Equinox. In between, she wrote and co-wrote two books published by Doubleday Canada. Sylvia lives in Kingston, Ontario.
