Teresa Toten

Teresa Toten is an award winning children’s author and speaker.  She has worked for the federal government and freelanced for Radio Canada International.  She has also been an Artist/Teacher with the Learning through the Arts Programme, a Creative Artist for the Evergreen Youth at the Yonge Street Mission and she has taught ESL at Frontier College.  Teresa has spoken at conferences and conducted workshops in classrooms and libraries throughout North America.

Presentation Description

Teresa is available for themed power point author presentations and readings suitable for larger audiences as well as highly interactive master writing workshops focusing on character development which are better suited to no more than 2 or 3 classrooms at a time. This year's themed presentation with audio-visuals will focus on the power of failure in the author's writing and personal life and how critical it is to learn from failure. Each author presentation is tailored to the individual school audience but usually also delves into mental health issues in story and life.
