Sharon McKay, young adult writer, has been readmitted to the Canadain Forces Artist Program for 2012-13. The last deployment took place in 2008-09 and resulted in the award winning book Thunder Over Kandahar. The next deployment will be in Kabul and Jakarta and focus on children in prisons.


Based on her time spent in the West Bank and Israel, Sharon's next book, Into Enemy Territory, Annick Press, will be released April 27, 2012.
