Camilla Gryski was born in Bristol, England and emigrated to Canada with her family at the age of nine. She has a degree in English, a Montessori Primary Teaching Certificate, and an M.L.S. degree. Her writing has consistently focused on the creative worlds of traditional crafts and play. She remains fascinated by the interaction between skillful hands and simple materials such as string or stones. Camilla works at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children as a Therapeutic Clown, helping to minimize the stress of hospitalization through play and laughter.
