| Born in Montreal, Ainslie Manson spent her childhood in Montreal and Hudson, Quebec. She has studied and worked in Canada, England and the U.S. She is married to David Manson, has three sons and has lived in Vancouver since 1970. In the '80s, Manson freelanced for the Vancouver Province, contributing over one hundred Canadian history related pages to their education page--a page widely used by social studies classes in elementary schools. Several of Ainslie's better known books are Canadian history related. But she has also written a number of picture books that tie in with her own childhood experiences... which she does not think of as HISTORY. At least not just yet!
