Joe Blades
 
 
Joe Blades, a Nova Scotian by birth, earned his BFA from NSCAD in 1988. He is currently a MEd (Adult Ed) candidate at UNB. Since 1980, his poetry and other writings have appeared in magazines, videos, art exhibitions, and books, in over 30 chapbooks and 50 anthologies and on radio and television. He is publisher/owner of 25-year-old Broken Jaw Press Inc. and of Maritimes Arts Projects Productions. A Past President of both the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association and the Canadian Poetry Association, Blades is the current President of the League of Candian Poets (2010–2011). Producer–host of the weekly Ashes, Paper & Beans: Fredericton Writing & Arts program on CHSR 97.9 FM, Blades is also on the editorial board of revue ellipse mag. Blades gives readings, lectures, and workshops across Canada as well as in the eastern USA, Scotland and Central Europe.
