| Barbara Greenwood was born in Toronto, Ontario where she attended Lawrence Park Collegiate and the University of Toronto. She taught elementary school, married and raised four children before realizing a longstanding desire to write historical fiction with a Canadian background. She now divides her time among writing, editing, reviewing and teaching. Currently, she teaches creative writing at Ryerson Polytechnic University as well as at various summer workshops. She has ten books in print.
