Paul Cavanagh
 
 
Paul Cavanagh was born in Lachine, Quebec, and grew up in Montreal and Ottawa. He has degrees from Queen’s University in Kingston (Occupational Therapy) and the University of Waterloo (Urban & Regional Planning), and has studied at the Humber School for Writers. In 2004, he beat out 1,500 other competitors from around the world to win the inaugural “Lit Idol” contest at the London International Book Fair in England, an achievement that garnered international media attention. His first novel, After Helen, was published by HarperCollins Canada in January 2006. Paul currently lives in London, Ontario, with his wife.
