Martha Attema

Martha Attema was born in Friesland (The Netherlands), and moved to Canada in 1981 with her husband and three children. Since 1987, she has been teaching kindergarten and grade one and two. She started writing stories in English in 1987. She draws ideas from the history, folk tales, and legends of her native Friesland.
