Mary was born in Corner Brook, Nfld. She has spent more than 25 years in the media with Maclean's Magazine, CBC radio, the Women's Television Network and has taught journalism at Ryerson University. She became the executive producer of CBCNews.ca in 2003. Married with two daughters, Mary lives in Toronto and continues to visit Newfoundland regularly.
