Joel Yanofsky was born in Montreal and has worked as a literary journalist and freelance writer for 16 years. He has a Master's Degree in English Literature from McGill University. He currently writes a book column for the Montreal Gazette. He's written for The Village Voice, Chatelaine, Reader's Digest, The Globe and Mail, and Quill and Quire among other publications. He is the author of the novel Jacob's Ladder and a collection of humor, Homo Erectus. He is currently working on a new novel.
