Mark Thurman

Mark Thurman was born in Toronto on September 27, 1948, where he currently resides. He is an illustrator, author, painter and teacher, and is a member of the Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers, and ACTRA. He went to Toronto Island School, Lord Dufferin Public School, and Central Technical High School. He wanted to be an artist from age six, thought he was an artist at 10, and became a professional artist at 18. He co-authored and illustrated "Mighty Mites" for 154 issues of Owl Magazine from 1976-1991.
