Julie Brickman
 
 
Julie Brickman's debut novel, What Birds Can Only Whisper, was published in 1997 by Turnstone Press. Her second novel, The Empty Quarter, is near completion as is A Writer-in-Residence in the Yukon, a memoir of her three months at the Berton House in Dawson City. She has an M.F.A. in Writing from Vermont College and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Manitoba. A dual citizen, she currently lives in San Diego, California and writes full time.
