Lola Sneyd
 
 
Lola Sneyd is a poet, short-story writer, and journalist who grew up in the west, but is now a Torontonian. A public-health nurse, she has written about and for all ages. Her work has appeared in anthologies in Canada, the U.S., England, and Australia. She has taught Creative Writing and writing for children for the Toronto Board of Education. She enjoys working with children and adults, encouraging them to be creative. Her memberships include: the Canadian Authors' Association (president, Toronto branch, 1978-80; national vice-president, 1980-82); the Canadian Society of Children's Authors and Illustrators, and Performers (recording secretary, 1980-82); and the League of Canadian Poets (treasurer 1990-91).
