Born in Saskatoon and raised in Winnipeg, Rhea Tregebov is the author of six critically acclaimed collections of poetry.Her first novel, The Knife Sharpener's Bell, was issued by Coteau Books in September, 2009. In addition to her poetry and fiction, she has edited ten anthologies, most recently Arguing with the Storm: Stories by Yiddish Women Writers (The Feminist Press, CUNY ,2008 and Sumach Press, 2007) and Gifts: Poems for Parents (Sumach 2002). She has also written five popular children's picture books, including Sasha and the Wiggly Tooth and The Big Storm. Tregebov studied English at the University of Manitoba and Cornell, and earned her Masters' Degree at Boston University. She lives in Vancouver, where she is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia.
