Janet Lunn was born in Dallas, Texas on December 28, 1928 (and lived there for six months). She was raised in Vermont, New York, and New Jersey, and came to Canada in 1946. She attended Queen's University, married Richard Lunn in 1950, and became a Canadian citizen in 1963. She has five children, six grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren. She works as a writer for children.
