Frieda Wishinsky

Growing up in New York City, Frieda never dreamed she'd be living in Canada and writing books for children. But she's so glad she is! While teaching children with learning difficulties, Frieda began to write for kids. To date, she's published over 40 trade and educational books all over the world. She's won awards in Canada and the UK and writes in many genres (Picture books, chapter books, novels and non-fiction). She loves sharing the writing process with kids and adults in lively, interactive presentations. Writers-in-the-Schools listing: Frieda is an experienced and entertaining teacher, speaker and workship leader. Her fast-paced, interactive programs inspire kids to share their stories. Her books have won world-wide acclaim and have won numerous awards in Canada and the UK.

Presentation Description:
Frieda uses drama, Q & A and an interactive approach to her talks. She  taylors her presentations to the needs of each group and grade.
Frieda prefers not to speak in the gym but the library, resource room or classroom.
