Application for Membership in The Writers’ Union of Canada for Self-Published Authors

In order for your application to be processed, you must pay the membership application fee. The option to pay online will be provided after you submit the application. If your application is unsuccessful, you will be refunded 50% of the fee (due to the additional processing required for self-published membership applications, a 50% administrative fee is deducted). 

All membership decisions are made in confidence.

Please note: Print books submitted for application to the Union will not be returned.

Applicants’ books must successfully demonstrate commercial intent and professionalism in all areas, including editing and design.

For those applicants who ONLY have a print copy version of their book. For your book/application to be considered, please send four copies to The Writers' Union of Canada, 600-460 Richmond St. W., Toronto, ON M5V 1Y1.
