Alexandra Popoff


Alexandra Popoff is a former Moscow journalist and Alfred Friendly Press Partners fellow. She is the author of literary biographies, including the award-winning Sophia Tolstoy and Vasily Grossman and the Soviet Century (2019). Her book The Wives  became a Wall Street Journal best nonfiction title for 2012. Popoff has contributed to The Wall Street JournalHuffington Post, The Boston Globe, The Globe and Mail, National Post, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
