Barbara Curry Mulcahy

Born in Trinidad and raised in India, Greece, the U.S. and Israel, Barbara came to Canada when she was eighteen. She received a BFA in creative writing at UBC and then lived in northern Alberta for more than thirty years. By turns a librarian, a health promoter, a columnist on seniors’ health issues, a teacher of ESL and Adult Literacy, an editor, and a teacher's aide, Barbara now lives and writes in the Kootenays of British Columbia. Barbara has written short stories, a radio play, essays, articles and poems. Her current writing projects are The Pancreas Replies (poetry), Clara Dechant (biography), and The Drawing of Maria (novel).
