Coastal living along the Northumberland Straight in Atlantic Canada is exactly where Donna wants to be. She resides in a 1909 farmstead... 



Donna Allard has been writing for over 40 years. It developed into a vocation while serving as a director for the National Milton Acorn Festival in Charlottetown P.E.I. 


Associations and Translations

After thirty years of being published across Canada, as well as a number of other countries around the world, her writing has also been translated into Greek, French, Shetlandic and Bengali. ‘From Shore to Shoormal’, co-authored with Shetland Island poet Natalie Hall (Brokenjaw Press, 2013), her first book by a trade publisher, is written in English, French and the nearly lost Old Scot/Shetland dialect.
