Doyali Islam's second poetry book is heft (McClelland & Stewart, March 2019). Poems from this collection have been published in Kenyon Review Online, The Fiddlehead, and The Best Canadian Poetry in English, and have won several contests and prizes. In 2017, she was a guest on CBC Radio's The Sunday Edition ( was a National Magazine Award finalist. Doyali serves as the poetry editor of Arc Poetry Magazine and lives in Toronto.
