Heather Spears

Heather Spears was born in Vancouver in 1934, and has lived since 1982 in Denmark. She was educated at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver School of Art, and University of Copenhagan. She works in both Denmark and Canada teaching drawing, reading, lecturing, and drawing freelance. She has published eight collections of poetry and three novels (speculative fiction). She travels a lot and has exhibited widely in Europe and America. She draws mainly infants, specializing in drawing childbirth, and premature babies, and (in the Middle East) wounded children.
