Jennifer Bain

Jennifer Bain is a journalist who travels the world in search of quirk. She's a recovering newspaper writer, a two-time cookbook author and a mother of three who lives in Toronto but escapes to her Fogo Island cottage. Jennifer is the author of 111 Places in Calgary That You Must Not Miss (2020), a global series of insider guides by a German publisher.  She wrote Buffalo Girl Cooks Bison (2014) and the award-winning Toronto Star Cookbook: More Than 150 Diverse and Delicious Recipes Celebrating Ontario (2013). Jennifer has a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and has been a journalist since 1990, penning thousands of newspaper articles and winning multiple food writing and design awards. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from the University of King's College in 2020.
