Presentation Description

John Corr will read a full chapter excerpt from his novel Eight Times Up. Space permitting, he can offer a small martial arts demonstration (it is topical to the book; he has a 3rd degree black belt in Aikido).

He will take any questions from the audience about writing, reading, martial arts, and post-secondary education (he is a college professor).

Workshop Description:

He will deliver a slideshow presentation using Powerpoint. The presentation will introduce students to the basics of writing their own story.

Depending on the audience, he can also discuss the basics of marketing and self-promoting a product such as a novel (including social media, creating and running public events, etc.)
