Kathleen Cherry

Kathleen lives with her husband and two children and works as a school counsellor in Northern B.C.

Kathleen’s first children’s book, Blowing Bubbles is hot off the presses and available through Aaspirations Publishing ( and through Amazon. 

Prior to publication, Blowing Bubbles  finalized in 2006 and 2009 in The Writers’ Union of Canada Writing for Children Competition. Kathleen’s manuscript, Being Ben,  finalized in 2008 in that same competition.

Kathleen’s writing has been featured in Northword, Highlights for Children, Woman, and Island Parent.

Her post-secondary education was completed through the University of Victoria and she has a B.A. in Creative Writing and history and a Masters of Education in counselling.  Kathleen is currently pursuing a doctorate degree through Walden University in counselling psychology. Her area of research interest is to study the impact of physical exercise on academic achievement and cognition in children.

As well as writing, Kathleen loves to run, hike, travel and read.
