Biography

Mark Cardwell is an independent writer in the Quebec City region.  Born and raised in Midland, Ontario, he is a graduate of the University of Toronto and a former public affairs officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.  As a freelance journalist and writer since 1993, he has written news and feature stories on a wide variety of subjects for an equally varied list of online and print publications in Canada and elsewhere.  Mark has won and been nominated for several national writing awards for news and feature writing.  He is also the author of L'Ascension, a 2003 biography of fallen Quebec business icon Raymond Malenfant.
