I am an award-winning (The Journey Prize, Canadian Authors Association Silver Jubilee Award)  writer whose work has appeared in eight anthologies, including twice in both Best American Short Stories and in The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror and once in Best Canadian Short Stories. My work has also appeared in eighteen journals, including Prairie Fire, the Atlantic Monthly, Story, and The Ontario Review, and I have published five novels and two collections of short stories and a blog.  I am a native of North Carolina, but have lived in and been a citizen of Canada for more than three decades.  I make my home in Port Stanley, ON, with my husband Ken Trevenna.
