Robin Van Eck

Robin in a Calgary-based writer, instructor and mentor.  For the last 20 years, she has been an active member of the literary arts scene in Alberta and is currently the Executive Director of the Alexandra Writers Centre Society, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting writers at all stages of their journey. 

Robin has published many short stories and personal essays in literary magazines and anthologies across Canada and the United States and was a finalist for the AMPA (Alberta Magazine Publishers Association) Showcase Award for Fiction in 2012. 

Her work has appeared in FreeFall Magazine, Minerva Rising, Waiting Anthology (U of A Press), Alberta Views, Routes Magazine, Lamplight, Woven Tales and many more. Forthcoming in 2021, she has short stories in Very Much Alive - Stories of Reslience (The Selkie UK) and Forbidden Fruit (The Seventh Terrace).

Her first novel, Rough, was released in November 2020 by Stonehouse Publishing and she is currently at work on her second novel, In Lieu of Flowers.
