Sally Gibson

A graduate of Vassar College in art history, Sally Gibson holds a Master of Urban Studies from Yale University, a Master of Library Science and a Ph.D. in Urban Geography from the University of Toronto. Since arriving in Toronto in 1969, she has enjoyed a checkered career as an urban policy analyst, photographer, archivist, heritage consultant, and writer. Her adopted city has been both a source of inspiration and the object of three major books. She continues to write about the city, to act as public historian, for the Distillery Historic District and to seek out other interesting heritage and local-history projects..
