Susan McNicoll

Photo: S. Shah 2012

Susan McNicoll was born in Montreal but grew up in Ottawa and also in England where she attended Tortington Park, a boarding school in Sussex. After living in Toronto for sixteen years, Susan moved to Vancouver. Although she is now a die-hard British Columbian, her heart still belongs to the Toronto Blue Jays. Susan's lifelong love of history has been the main focus of her writing career, which began with five years as a reporter for The Ottawa Journal in the 1970s. She has just published (2012) The Opening Act Canadian Theatre History 1945-1953 with Ronsdale Press. Susan is also working on a number of other projects: a non-fiction book about a man who murdered his wife;  a romance novel set in Europe in 1972 and today; and a series of fables on the four seasons of healing.
