75,000 Canadian artists unite: It’s time for a basic income

The Writers’ Union of Canada is proud to join with our colleagues across the arts sector, opening up a discussion with government about new ways to ensure professional culture work remains viable today and into the future. Along with groups and individuals numbering over 75,000, we call upon the federal government to create a permanent basic income program.
