I'm happy to report that CELTIC KNOT, the debut novel in my Clara Swift Tales 'history with a mystery' fiction series, is one of three fiction finalists for the 2019 Whistler Independent Book Awards and is a finalist for The MIramichi Reader's 2019 "The Very Best!" Book Award. Winners of both awards will be announced in the autumn.
CELTIC KNOT, self-published through FriesenPress of Victoria B.C., recently received a gold award in Religious Fiction from the Next Generation Indie Book Awards at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., and was awarded the Bronze Medal for Best Regional Fiction (Canada East) at the 2019 Independent Publisher Book Awards (the IPPYs) in New York.
The novel has in past been a finalist in the 2018 Sarton Women's Book Award for Historical Fiction, the 2018 Foreword INDIES award in Multicultural Fiction, and the 2017 Crime Writers of Canada's 'Unhanged' Arthur Ellis Award for unpublished crime fiction manuscripts.
