Wherever you may be, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, join author Licia Canton for a Books and Biscotti event: readings of her recent (un)published writing and her favourite biscotti, pasticcini, dolcetti… BYOB.

Licia Canton has published twelve books, including The Pink House and Other Stories (2018) and Almond Wine and Fertility (2008; 2018), published in Italy as Vino alla mandorla e fertilità (2015). Her writing has been anthologized internationally in English, French, Chinese, Italian and Venetian dialect. 
She is the founding editor-in-chief of Accenti Magazine, where she organizes the annual writing contest and “Capture an Italian Moment” photo competition. At Accenti, she also manages a student internship program with Bishop’s University. 
A past-president of the Association of Italian Canadian Writers (AICW), she is a mentor for emerging writers and editors and a writer-for-hire via the Quebec Writers' Federation. 
Licia Canton was Visiting Professor and Writer-in-Residence at the University of Calabria in 2019. For her work in culture, she received the Italy in the World Award in 2018. She holds a Ph.D. from Université de Montréal.
She is director of the documentary Creative Spaces: Queer and Italian Canadian
