FAST! FUN! READS Virtual Field Trip

Looking for a way to get students buzzing about books and headed to the library?With a focus on easy-to-read fictionFast Fun Reads will send even the most reluctant readers into the library, looking for the stories that will bring them back for more.
We are presenting live virtual event on April 9, 2021 at 11AM EST and 1 PM EST co-hosted by Eric Walters and Sigmund Brouwer with Melanie Florence, winner of the TD Children’s Literature Award for Missing Nimama, and author of other compelling books that explore the struggles of Indigenous adolescence, like Rez Runaway and He Who Dreams. With her will be Wanda Taylor — The Nova Scotia Home for Colored Children — and Paul Coccia, author of The Player, about a goalie who struggles with the traditional mindset of amateur hockey. 
It's a one-hour live virtual presentation for grades 4-8 that includes Q&A sessions. Your students will enjoy an engaging and motivational presentation to give reading and writing a boost for the rest of the school year.
