Application for Ontario Writers-in-the-Schools

With the assistance of the Ontario Arts Council, The Writers’ Union of Canada funds author visits to Ontario elementary and secondary schools. The Union subsidizes a portion of the author's reading fee and travel and accommodation costs.

Application for Spring Session

We are currently accepting applications for the Spring Session (school visits taking place between April 1, 2020, and August 31, 2021). The deadline to apply is January 27, 2020All applicants will be notified of application results within 3 weeks of the deadline.

The Union strongly encourages hosts to hold readings in barrier-free spaces and to consider any additional presenter or audience needs.
