Eva Tihanyi

Eva Tihanyi was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1956 and came to Canada when she was six. She grew up in Windsor, lived in Toronto from 1981 to 1989, and currently resides in Welland , Ontario, where she is a Professor of English at Niagara College.


Education: M.A., English and Creative Writing, University of Windsor, 1978; Honours B.A., English Language and Literature, 1977; Communication Arts (Journalism), St. Clair College, 1975.


In 2006, Tihanyi received a Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing from the Humber College School of Writing for her first collection of short fiction.
