Biography

Valerie Mills-Milde is the author of the novel "The Current Between" (AOS Publishing, 2023). Her debut novel, "After Drowning" (Inanna Publication 2016) won the Independent Publisher Book Award's Silver Medal for Contemporary Fiction (2017).  "The Land's Long Reach" (Inanna Publications, 2018) was awarded a Best Book Fiction distinction by The Miramichi Reader. Valerie short stories have appeared in numerous literary journals and a collection of these was a semi-finalist for the BLP St; Lawrence Book Award. When not writing, Valerie is a clinical social worker in private practice. She splits her time between London, Ontario, and an old stone farmhouse in Huron County, Ontario.
