Joseph Howse's novel The Girl in the Water (Nummist Media, 2022) has been honoured in the 2023 IAN Book of the Year Awards as the category winner for Outstanding Multicultural Fiction and as a finalist in Literary Fiction. Also, it is a finalist in the 2023 Eyelands Book Awards; winners will be announced Dec. 30.
