Presentation description

Writing, as with many forms of storytelling, acts as a meeting ground for imagination and reality; it offers a tool to reflect on the world as we know it and imagine what else might be. Expanding one’s imagination is a critical step towards realizing that which feels presently impossible to achieve makes writing an essential practice in world-building. As I reflect on my own journey as a queer, trans young person, I see writing as a survival strategy, a source of power, a method of escape.
