Donald McIlhone

Donnie McIlhone

Donnie McIlhone is a teacher and writer living in Port Hood, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. He enjoys writing fiction that reads like non-fiction. Donnie is a graduate of McGill University, The University of Calgary and Gonzaga University. He has taught English Literature and Mathematics at the high school and college levels. In his recent novel, 'The Papa Rats', Donnie invites his readers to venture into a part of history that never happened but reads like it could very well have happened. It's a story with a 'What If' motif, including themes that address strategies for overcoming the challenges, in the rat-like maze of life.

Donnie writes short stories and anecdotes for 'The Oran' - a local newspaper in, Inverness County, Cape Breton..
