Fred Kennedy

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, I have worked for over thirty years, teaching in both Jamaica and Canada. I pursued graduate studies in education in Canada and held administrative positions including the post of Principal of my alma mater, St. George’s College in Kingston, Jamaica. I have a great passion for Caribbean literature and history. I have recently completed my second novel, Huareo: Story of a Jamaican Cacique, which I have also translated into Spanish. My fourth publication, FIRSTBORN: The Life of Luis Fred Kennedy 1908-1982. is now published (November 2022).  It is a biography of my dad in honour of the centenary of GraceKennedy Ltd. My wife and I reside in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
