Biography

Alana Jones has been a writer since the age of twelve after her mother encouraged her to write as a medium of expression.
Born in Trinidad, she is fascinated by both the Written Word and the Oral Traditions inspired by her childhood memories and cultural heritage.
A mother of three talented and beautiful daughters, Jones draws inspiration from client resiliency and the unwavering commitment to social justice and equity demonstrated by her peers.
Jones first published book, Behind the Frontline offers a “mirror image” of thought provoking scenarios to challenge your social outlook. A fictional glimpse into the lives of those individuals providing support on the Frontlines and the individuals receiving support from Frontline workers in the homeless sector.
Her work is a tribute to the silent voices she encounters daily.  Jones lives in the City of Toronto.
