Biography

Carol Matas is the author of over forty-five books for children and young adults. She has written science fiction, fantasy, contemporary, and historical fiction. She often writes on Jewish themes, and is well-known for her books concerning the Holocaust. Her books have garnered over 100 awards and honours including two Governer General nominations, a New York Times Best Book of the Year, two Sydney Taylor Awards, and two Jewish Book Awards.
