Danielle specializes in telling inclusive hidden stories for all ages. She is a sought-after speaker, consultant, and the author/editor of four books, including the best-selling collection In This Together: Fifteen Stories of Truth and Reconciliation (Brindle & Glass, 2016). Her first picture book, Alis the Aviator: An ABC Aviation Adventure, came out with Tundra Books in July 2019. She was writer-in-residence at Berton House in Dawson City, Yukon, and was Edmonton's Historian Laureate. She lives by the sea in Nova Scotia, where she is finishing up a picture book and two novels, and writing a creative nonfiction book on the Charles Camsell Indian Hospital.
