JoAnn Dionne

JoAnn Dionne holds an MFA in Writing from the University of Victoria. Her first book, Little Emperors, a memoir of her time teaching elementary school in China, was short-listed for the George Ryga Award for Social Awareness in Literature and a finalist for the City of Victoria Butler Book Prize. She is currently completing another memoir--part travelogue, part political history, part love story--set in India, China and Tibet. A resident of Victoria for over a decade, JoAnn now lives in Guanajuato, Mexico.
