Biography

Luba Lesychyn (le-si-shin) is the author of Theft Between the Rains and Theft By Chocolate. In Theft Between the Rains, an amateur sleuth and museum employee finds herself pulled into international art theft intrigue when masterpieces missing since WWII start appearing on her doorstep. The prequel, Theft By Chocolate, is a feisty museum heist mystery about a woman looking for chocolate, love and an international art thief in all the wrong places. Theft By Chocolate has ranked in the top 100 of Amazon.com's Mystery & Thrillers genres. Both books have four-five-star ratings on Amazon.com and Goodreads.

Soon after finishing her graduate studies in history, Luba landed on the doorstep of Canada’s largest museum, the Royal Ontario Museum (the backdrop of both books) where she worked for more than 20 years. Luba is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers' Creative Writing Program and is both a novelist and a screenwriter. After leaving the museum, Luba worked for several years in an administrative and research capacity for a private museum consulting firm (Cultural Innovations) with offices in Toronto and London (UK) as well as for an independent television and film production company. She subsequently worked in the educational and private sectors, and currently writes and teaches yoga in Toronto.
